Holiday giving wishlist

This year, I thought I’d participate in the holiday wishlist meme. I’ve already been able to grant some of Ashley’s wishes, and am hoping to find others I can help out as well. I also have a list of stuff that I’d really love to have, but don’t have the money or means right now.

Comment here if you create a list, and I will be sure to read it and attempt to help you out. If you help me with anything from my list, I will do my best to reciprocate. At the very least, I can send you some of my favorite holiday music! (It’s not boring crap, either. There are some sweet mash-ups.)

Steps (truncated)

  • Make a post listing your wishes. If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info.
  • Visit the lists of others. If you see a wish you can grant, and it’s in your heart to do so, make someone’s wish come true.
  • You needn’t spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn’t to put people out, it’s to provide everyone a chance to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not — it’s your call.

My wishlist

  1. A job. Seriously. Money in exchange for work. Do you have something you need done that just takes time? I can do it. Data entry? No problem! Photo editing? Done! Writing, um, anything? Easy. I can help you with WordPress, with your blog… the list goes on.
  2. T-shirts. Here’s the deal: a lot of my clothes don’t fit me anymore. I gained weight and stopped shopping for clothing (I despise clothes shopping). But I’m not at all picky. I like comfortable shirts, and I really don’t care what’s on the front. I’ll take anything. I’m a size XL or XXL by American Apparel’s standards, which is an adult medium or so in the real world.
  3. While we’re at it, I also really need a blazer of some sort that I could wear to job interviews. And jewelry. Can you tell I’m inept?
  4. Anything from my sex toy wishlist. Duh.
  5. Queen-sized satin sheets. My boyfriend keeps dropping hints about wanting satin sheets. He would be so excited to toss me around in some… especially red ones.
  6. Free advertising, in whichever form you can manage, whether it be word of mouth, posting in a forum you frequent, or putting a banner of mine on your site (contact me for banners). And if you have any insight on how I can expand and gain more readers, I’d love to hear it.
  7. Socks that are warm. Preferably Smartwool, but I’ll take anything that’s toasty.
  8. A standing/floor lamp that takes at least three lightbulbs. It doesn’t even have to have lampshades; it just needs to work and not be lopsided.
  9. Low top Converse in men’s size 6. And any semi-fancy shoes I could wear to a job interview that aren’t heels.
  10. Gift cards/certificates to Amazon, Target, or anywhere I can buy simple need-it-to-live items.

So if any of these sound like something you can do, email me at hey.epiphora [at] gmail [dot] com and we can work out details!

I might be able to help with the red satin sheets, I just have to see what happened to mine. Yes they have been slept on, but they’re clean I swear. My ex and I tried them once, we kept almost sliding off the bed and never used them again. I’ll check. Also love this idea and will probably be posting my own list soon.

I may be able to help you out on the interview jewelry front. I can give you a pearl necklace… no seriously, I’ll knot it by hand on silk string. Let me know if you’d like any particular colors (white, cream, pink, etc.) and how long you generally wear your necklaces :)

I think I could fill in some of your wishes, too. Nothing like asking for what you need for Christmas!!!

@cleofaye: That would be absolutely amazing! I’ve held off on buying satin sheets because I’m also afraid of sliding off them, haha, but the boyfriend is unnaturally turned on by satin.

@EffinSara: Dude, that would be amazing. Something simple like that would be absolutely fabulous. I’ll email you!

I think I could get you the socks and of course the advertising on my blog and facebook. I would love some of those banners! I could also send you some of my T-shirts that I don’t really wear, I think they’re kind of plain, but they would work. :)

@Rose: Yay! Plain is totally fine. I just want to be comfortable. Thank you!

I’ve got some jewelry and dress clothes that I don’t need anymore since I don’t work anymore. I might can pick through some of it and see if there’s something you could wear to an interview. I’ve also got some clothes that are too small because I’ve gained weight. I have been trying to get rid of it for a while now. E-mail me your pants size and stuff so I can check. I think I’ve got some size 14/16/18 and juniors 17 jeans/pants. Some cute skirts. Some XL/XXL and 16/18 shirts, both dressy and not dressy. I’ll go through some stuff tomorrow and see what I can drag up and then make my own wishlist. =)

I’m flat broke and I don’t have much that fits your wishes, so I may have to wait a while to send you something. :)

@Sarahbear: Wow, that would be so great! I’ll email you more about my sizes. Thank you so much!

@Epiphora: If you want to email me your size I might have some interview clothes as well. I also have this really nice Betsey Johnson necklace that is pretty, but not my style (I don’t really wear jewelry at all), so I’ve never worn it.

    I made one: http://hellosaraid.wordpress.com/2009/12/06/holiday-giving-wishlist/

I would say I could help with shoes, but all my fancier shoes I don’t like too much have really high heels. I’ll keep an eye out for you! Now I’m off to read other people’s.

I have a pair of ankle height black leather Converse in 5 1/2 that you can have it that’s of interest. They are barely worn. I find them too tight for my wide feet. I may also have a blazer for interviews. What size do you need and I’ll check my wardrobe?

Oh, and socks…I’ve been given a load of them (new) that would take me a decade to wear.

I can look through my jewelry and see what I have…plus I have a shipment coming (I sell it) so let me look in there too. It is all super up to date.

I can definitely put a banner on my site for your blog…I love banners!!! I have you on my blogroll too so hopefully people look at it!

I am also leaving the link to my post (I have yours listed in mine). http://randomcuriosities.blogspot.com/2009/12/i-originally-saw-this-on-hey-epiphora.html

@Raven Quince: Oooh! Not sure about 5 1/2 — why don’t you measure the bottom of the shoe for me and I’ll compare with what I have? I would love socks and a blazer, too. I emailed you my sizes.

@Alley: Thanks! I don’t need a ton of jewelry, so if you’re willing to send pictures, maybe then I could choose? I’ll get a banner to you soon.

I don’t have anything on your lists, except a link in my sidebar that is already there. Hit me up with another wish. You know what toys I have anyway… And, not the orange Sugar… :)

How set are you on wanting that specific Jollie? I have the original kind in a deep purple. I can sanitize it and send it your way if you’re interested. Also, I managed to acquire two thigh harnesses. I can definitely send you one.

Also, lets talk about design. I would love to have you design a few ads for me (and then put them on your site as you had offered before). I don’t have a lot of money, but I do okay. I wouldn’t be able to afford anything until after Friday though.

@Garnet Joyce: I’d love your Jollie, if you’re willing to part with it. A thigh harness would be rad, too. And yes — I can definitely design some ads for you!

@Epiphora: I couldn’t get the damn thing in! So I won’t miss it at all. At this point I just like saying that I have 14 dildos, but I really don’t use them all. Send me an email with an address I can send stuff to.

I’ve been thinkin it over and….I just don’t reach for my Jollet anymore, and I see that’s on your list. It is purple, but the purple these days isn’t that grape color on the site. If you’d like it, email me.

Hey sweets, I may be able to help you out with some interview clothes. I have some cute stuff that I never wear now that I am out of the office world. Let me know your sizes and I will send some stuff your way!! I got a bunch of stuff to spare if it’ll fit you..

Also, since I have never had a toy I am thinking of buying one for myself for Christmas, any suggestions of something good for a first toy or if anyone is getting rid of anything… especially Luna beads… I would really appreciate it..

If you wait about a month, I’d definitely have money and want to hire you for help with promoting my blog. :) I could pay well. :) But I’d have to wait for the Holiday season to be over, but if you’re still interested, I’d love the help.

I added your Holiday list to mine. :)
